As part of the largest urgent care network in the U.S., AFC Urgent Care centers are at the epicenter of this expansion. According to the Urgent Care Association, total Urgent Care visits have risen from 89 million in 2016 to 201 million in 2022.

The number of urgent care units has impressively doubled from 7,000 in 2016 to over 14,000 by 2022. Despite more units opening, patient has increased from 34 patients per day to 39 patients per day between 2016 & 2022. Urgent care centers offer a cost-effective alternative to ERs, averaging $140 versus $1,354 per visit.
